Spiritual Transitions

by Rev. Judi A. Lynch

Along the path of spiritual ascension, we learn, grow and evolve constantly. While we discover the gifts of the divine, we also have to make some very important decisions in our associations and close relationships. For a number of reasons, we might have to break away from people and situations that can be harmful to us or to those close to us. In our hearts, we want to be accepting and understanding of everyone. We don’t want to gossip or judge or assume. It can be ingrained in us to give everyone a chance and to coexist with others whose intentions and level of awareness may be quite different from ours. As we all make our spiritual transitions, we have to accept the roles we were meant to play for the sake of everyone’s enlightenment. It isn’t always an easy thing to do.

In the quest to maintain our integrity, we may forget to respect our own boundaries and protect ourselves from places and people that rob us of our energy. Trying so hard to be respectful of others, we might end up being silent when we should speak up. In some cases, we might have to patiently wait for the right time and place to do so. We may be asked fo our opinion or to describe our experience before we decide what approach to take and how much to share. We learn to discern if the situation is serious enough to warn others or to let them have their own experience in the karmic give and take that we all play out here. Every observation is an opportunity for us to practice our connections with our guides for insight and options on how to proceed. A strong connection to your spiritual guides will give you amazingly accurate information on which to make your decisions.

Recently I was in a situation which required me to sit back and watch things unfold without any confrontation or explanation to anyone else. After the “incident”, I spoke my peace, wished the person well and moved on. I realized they had a definite pattern in their life theme. They had recently ended several business and personal relationships and many things they said or did, weren’t making sense. The game plan kept changing for their life and career. They claimed that people were turning against them over jealousy or ego. It seemed everything had to be their way or the highway. I was watching a huge control drama play out among a large group of people. This person was an interrogator who used information to gain energy and then offer rescue.
