Third to open your heart. Move beyond ego in to service. Move beyond agenda into reception of guidance. Move beyond pre-conceived notions, beyond attachments, to embrace something larger. We are being broken open, and we must surrender to do it.
And of course, there is all the sustainable things: go as green as you can, recycle, buy organic products and avoid packaging, get a hybrid car or better yet, a bicycle. Take your bags back to the grocery store. Did you know that this country goes through over a million paper bags an hour? Eight million trees a month, just for mail catalogs. What do you say about a culture, that uses precious resources to create something that they know will become 90% garbage without even being seen?
In our own lives, we need to forgive, appreciate, and be generous. We need to learn effective communication, and develop our own power.
We need to reconnect with nature, the mother, honor the feminine, not just about women, but those things that we typically relate to the feminine, caring, feeling, creating beauty.
We need to open our hearts to the incredible gift we have been given and joyously take the responsibility to pass that gift onto not just our children, but for all the generations that are to follow.
We can reach for what we love, because what we focus on we create more of. If we focus on violence and struggle, we get more of that. If we focus on what works, what makes people happy, what is sustainable, what has beauty and power and majesty –then that’s what we’ll create.
