Miracles vs. The Ego

What are miracles? – They are a truly magical, unbelievably orchestrated and beautifully choreographed event or opportunity that is real.
Miracles are available to all of us, to see and to experience, especially to those who think they don’t deserve them or who find it difficult to shake the mind; the ego from doubting, questioning, suspecting, looking for that booby-trap. The ego is renowned for saying “No, it’s an illusion, stop, you don’t deserve that, you will be hurt, you will fail”. The ego will never say anything positive or assuring, ever. And we believe the ego, our negative thoughts, I believed it. The ego fears your success. These thoughts are not intuition and definitely not from the universe. And if we give the ego the power, it grows in force.
Miracles happen, all the time. I know in my past I thought that life, the universe was punishing or testing me when it presented a mystical and amazing opportunity. My ego’s favourite saying “No, it’s an illusion, stop, danger, protect yourself, don’t accept, you are not strong enough”. I think back to why I thought this – because I don’t believe that now, but I did then. I was in such misalignment from past hurts and let downs I guess my faith was not strong at that time – and fear was in control and causing havoc. All the universe wanted me to do was open my arms, accept and believe – to be rewarded for all the challenges that I surpassed.
Let me tell you something. Every single person on this Earth sees and receives miracles. Every single person on this Earth is beautiful. Every single person on this Earth deserves to be rewarded. Every single person on this Earth deserves love. Every single person on this Earth deserves understanding. Every single person on this Earth IS worth it. You are worth it.
So, today, stop thinking negatively about a miracle in your life, right this minute, this second – and shift your mind, back into the thought and the feeling of being in awe of that miracle, and how ridiculously amazing it is, and be in wondrous acknowledgement. Do a back flip if you have to! The next time your ego starts to create doubt and questions your deservedness, do me a favor and do this. Mimic your ego. Put on your Groucho Marx glasses and mo, and say those negative thoughts right back to your ego in a Grouch Marx voice – make fun of the fear that the ego is giving rise to. (Yes, I have done this!). Remove the focus and the power from the fear and negativity and say to your ego “Yeah, whatever negative ego – I am so deserving of that miracle. I will succeed.” Once you stand up to the ego; your fearful thinking, it backs down into the corner where it belongs.
Remember: You are not your past. You are here now. Intuition is assuring. The Universe is supportive. Be open to miracles. See and accept miracles. It has your name on it. You are worth it.
