A Perspective of Love From the Other Side

Soon after he died, my brother, Billy, woke me at dawn, describing what was happening to him in the next world.

I want you to know, darling, I’m drifting weightlessly through a glorious Universe and I feel a Divine Presence, a kind, loving, beneficent presence, twinkling all around me.

Had I gone a little mad with grief? How could my brother be talking to me from another dimension? It seemed crazy. But as Billy’s visits continued, I became convinced that my brother really was reaching out to me from the other side. I recorded our conversations in what would become a book documenting Billy’s real-time accounts of his journey through the next world.

1. As soon as you die, the first thing you feel is bliss.

Bliss is like being in love multiplied by a thousand, but it has nothing to do with anyone else. It’s fulfilling in and of itself. On earth, you usually need someone to give you a reason to feel love, and that feeling usually has its ups and downs. With bliss, there’s no downside and you don’t need a reason for it.

2. Divine Love is not earth love.

It’s not dependent on what you do or how you look. It’s not the kind of love where today I hate you and tomorrow I love you, although on planet earth it’s usually the other way around. It’s more like yesterday I loved you, but I don’t anymore because you’re not who you were the day before.

3. On the other side, you are attended to by wise, kind, super-evolved Higher Beings whose loving custody you are now in.

And remember, when you think about the love you’re using your human mind. There’s no comparison to the actual over-the-top nature of love on the other side. These Higher Beings don’t impose rules or give your opinions unless you ask. They don’t dominate you in any way and that’s a beautiful thing. The best thing they do is love you unconditionally. On earth, people talk about unconditional love, but until you’ve actually been loved that way it’s impossible to understand the power of it. It goes way beyond acceptance because acceptance implies you like some parts of me and not others but you accept it all. To the Higher Beings, everything about you is extraordinary. What an experience!

4. When you receive real love, when someone loves you unconditionally, you begin to feel that way towards yourself. Unconditional.

The kindness and understanding from the Higher Beings begin to come to you from yourself. You love yourself as you never could have when you first arrived in the afterlife. That means even the soul changes.

5. Your soul rises up, spreads out, and expands across the cosmos.

You’ve got stars and moons and galaxies inside and all around you. There’s some kind of processing happening like there’s a giant pinball machine of light waves inside you, and the sensation keeps getting better and better. This is how you understand the incomprehensible nature of the Source. You realize that at the center of everything is an energy, an immaterial material that I’ll identify as LOVE. Wow, and how you love and how good it feels this love. You can’t imagine it. You really can’t. There is no way for you to.

6. Wisdom now comes from inside you and shines out in all directions as bliss and love pour from your heart.

You don’t have an actual heart, but love radiates from that area. You pulsate with it. There’s so much hate on earth, even in the name of God. What a concept! Hate in the name of God. That’s why Christ said he’s the protector of the meek. They aren’t such big haters.

7. If there’s one thing worth doing on your planet, it’s discovering self-love.

I say discovering instead of learning because learning implies you’re starting from zero, but the truth is you already love yourself. When you’re born, you forget your magnificence and think you have to earn the right to be loved. How can you earn what already belongs to you? Know that the shadow is illusory and temporary. Ultimately, love and light are the truer and stronger reality.
