Inspiring Positive Feelings

I know you often hear me talk about having positive affirmations to create the life of endless opportunities. Often, though, it is more than inspiring positive feelings. In this article, I wanted to talk about expressing your love and appreciation for your friends, family, colleagues, and loved ones.

We all forget those little words, whether it’s “thank you,” or “I appreciate you,” or “You mean a lot to me,” or even “I love everything about you!” There are many ways of expressing heartfelt gratitude and affection, whether it’s over a cup of coffee, or writing a letter, or a phone call. It is just a matter of finding the right words. When you do reach out, it often opens a floodgate of feelings and strengthens the bond between you, making them more authentic, more meaningful, more honest and, most importantly, more loving.

Inspiring Positive Feelings and Expressing Your Emotions

By inspiring positive feelings and expressing your emotions, other people will get to know the real you. They will understand you and how you work, rather than second-guess what you may be feeling or thinking. They will have a deeper understanding on a soul level. When you hesitate to let others know how you feel, it can lead to miscommunication or a feeling of disconnect, insofar that they might not realize how important they are in your life.

You only have to watch someone’s face when you tell them openly and honestly how much they mean to you. You may come to realize the power of words and how those few words will inspire them to step forwards with renewed positivity in their life.

To inspire positive feelings, you should start with yourself. It’s important to start from a place of happiness, self-confidence and compassion, tolerance, and understanding. You need to be sure that you’re prepared to taking action and pursue what you want to say and achieve, and what the outcome should look like once you’ve said what you want to say.

Make a list of a few people you feel you need to express your feelings, people who you might have taken for granted or people you’ve forgotten of late or people you think could benefit from some affection today!

Surround yourself with positive feelings, and refuse to be involved with negative thoughts and feelings. I know that might sound easy, and it’s not … it takes practice to walk away from a negative situation or relationship.

John’s Lesson

Every morning, try a simple exercise when you wake up, and quietly say to yourself or in silence: “I’m going to have a brilliant day today. I am going to be compassionate. I’m going to be tolerant. I’m going to be happy!” Take time out for a few moments during the day to check-in and see how you’re feeling, and if needed visualize some happy moments in your life, or a place you loved to visit, or people who just make you happy, and you will start to feel those positive feelings flood back again.

So, I will leave you with a few positive affirmations. I am sure you can create your own too, but here are a few:

  • I deserve to be happy
  • Every day, things get better and better
  • I am a beautiful and compassionate human being
  • My positive thoughts create positive results

Live a Soul-filled life!
