And they can throw us off balance.<\/p>\n<p>When they do, we can easily give our power to the trigger. This leaves us experiencing: the feeling of walking on eggshells; exhibiting explosive behavior; delivering irrational responses; or shutting down.<\/p>\n<p>When we\u2019ve given our power to the trigger, we become a victim, without intending to be.
