How to Make a Virtual Launch of Your Free eBook
It is generally known that the Books, especially eBooks, are turning to be the beloved of all the authors, because of a series of vantage that they provide, from or a little work of publishing till the value of sale that beats several of those of books printing and are sure to please your readers.
In the meantime, we must say that at the same time, we can list a series of advantages when publishing in an eBook format. There were also drawbacks.
You will not be able to feel or smell from your eBook, carry a bag, and show it to everyone, fold the pages, and much less make several autographs as a launch of your Book.
Why should I have a Virtual book launch if my Book was published only digitally?
These days, after the ongoing rearranging of the Publishing Industry and a solid year of Pandemics, we realized that there must be more creative, organic, and effective ways to work with Books (Or product). A method that would not demand a lot of resources and at the same time will bring the brightness and realization of this is the first step and the one that most helps to promote your Book. Put the shame aside and call all your friends, even those you do not talk to too much.
Sometimes you may not have much contact with someone from your Facebook friends’ cycle, the person does not know that you write, and when they see that you have been invited, they may have a beautiful surprise and even honor your work.
Facebook is the first free marketing tool and certainly the most used so far.
Put your Book on Goodreads and Quora, and LinkedIn.
These are social networks geared towards readers, and they are on the rise. Goodreads and LinkedIn are the favorites so far, but I have seen at least one or two more out there, although I don’t remember their names at the moment.
However, know what time it is. Did you start writing your Book already? Finish it first but talk a little about it with your beta readers. Talk about it in the groups you take part in, leave them a little instigated and curious about the story. Now, if you already finished your Book and have it edited with a professional, then now, yes, you can start spreading it for real! Make disclosure boards on Facebook (beautiful and readable!), Contact literary blogs, circulate on all social networks in which you take part. When your Book is in its final settings, book the event for a week or two of the day so you can get organized.
Registering your Book on any of these platforms is essential for two reasons: First, to see how many people are interested, and to allow these places to inform and promote your Book to their other users.
Promote, Inform and Disclose!
Inform everyone in advance.
There is no point in coming up with a fabulous event, inviting two thousand people, if you end up doing it right away. It’s not going to work. Promote both the Book and the event, but plan it in advance too!
Nothing to put the activities just on the day! Schedule the event. It will not be fun if you hold an event with many people if it is just to provide the link for selling your Book!
Make a nice schedule, use your imagination. Start the event with a presentation video of yours, or a text, talking about the Book.
Make space for readers to ask questions and interact with them. Readers like to interact with the authors, which is a given!
Release some opening chapters, do interactive activities with the readers present at your virtual event. It’s up to you!
Run a Launch Promotion
But the most important thing is to stick to the schedules!
Maybe invite other authors, on the day of launching their Book, make a good launch promotion that readers ask themselves why not buy that Book.
Some release the Book free of charge for download on the website, where it will be sold for twenty-four hours. Others put a price well below the real for an indefinite period.
Amazon itself also has a nifty promotion scheme that lasts three days, and the value of your Book changes on those days, from smallest to largest. Open your hand and make a good promotion for your readers!
If you have a printed version of this Book, make a raffle with the event participants! All readers love a sweepstake and the idea that they can win an autographed book for free just by participating. The same applies to a possible kit that your Book may have: a bag, a pen, markers. Among others.
In addition to always making the event exciting, you may end up bringing more people to participate and get to know your Book. These are some ideas and suggestions that I found very good to be applied in virtual launches. Do you know any other cooler ideas?
