Lightworkers and Relationships
Many lightworkers are having trouble finding relationships with partners that are on the same spiritual journey as themselves.
Relationships and Spiritual Evolution
There seems to be a recurring theme lately with those looking for a new romantic partner or seeking to improve their current love relationship. In my spiritual work, a common question I often hear is “How do I find someone who is awake or waking up spiritually who will understand my beliefs?” or “How do I get my partner more interested in the spiritual aspects of life?”
So many people are feeling the shift in energy, they want to share their lives with others who are awakening and feeling the good vibrations. They are becoming very aware of negative emotions and people around them and they want to break free! Finding themselves in a spiritual dilemma because their life partners are not responsive or appreciative of their newly found spiritual lifestyles. Others have been living for years with a partner who wants no part of any spiritual or religious practices or beliefs and they’ve gotten used to co-existing this way. They’ve accepted the situation as it is.
There are many lightworkers out there who wish to end their current relationships to find their true “soul mate” to live out the rest of their days together in spiritual bliss. I see this happening more and more lately with people feeling dissatisfied, saying that their mate is “asleep” and/or indifferent and without compassion. Many times this can be attributed to fear and stress in these uncertain times and “waking them up” might even be easier than commonly thought. There is hope even though it may seem otherwise…
It’s obvious that great and significant changes are happening in the World. We are experiencing things at a much faster rate than ever. There is great joy in the spiritual awakenings and great fear and uncertainty in World events. If we understand ourselves and our life purposes a little better, it can be easier to cope and to share our knowledge without insisting it is practiced before someone else is ready.
It all comes down to choices. Can you co-exist with someone who does not practice your spiritual beliefs? Are they accepting of you and do they encourage your practices and activities? Are they negative and draining and critical of you and of life in general? Do you feel tired and overwhelmed around someone you used to love dearly?
We have to make choices about how we want to live and exist. If there is great respect and love in the relationship, chances are that disagreements can be settled as rational beings. If one partner has many emotional issues or is extreme in their behavior (addictions, etc.) then they are choosing to avoid solving issues in the relationship and in their lives. It is very difficult for a spiritually ascending soul to be in such negative energy.
Every one of us is unique and the dynamics in each of our romantic relationships is too vast to make a clear-cut decision on how to handle a spiritual divide. Each soul awakens on their own way and their own time. A spark here and an experience there and it can happen in an instant or over several years time. With patience and time, a relationship can thrive where once it was very dull.
How great it is when two like-minded souls find each other and grow together! A conscious choice to live spiritually. to have compassion for each other and for everyone in the World. To share your gifts with love and service to others, and to take care of yourselves and your environment.
If Lightworkers in love are multiplied by millions, what a place this Earth would be!

i think this is important to note: “Each soul awakens on their own
way and their own time.” so when i have found myself growing spiritually and my loved ones are not in that place, although it can be frustrating, its important for me to remember that my peacefulness and positive attitude can serve as a positive example and that I dont need for them to think or believe as I do. They will come to their peace in their own time. I dont have to accept bad behavior but I dont have to ditch them just because we are not perfectly aligned. My husband has seen me through stressful times thatt I handled less than gracefully and now he is having a hard time. cant make him change but i can show him by how I live joyfully. We take turns. 🙂
Good point and good perspective! Thank you!
It is very difficult to feel so alone in one’s spiritual beliefs. Many of us live in areas where these belief systems are not prevalent or supported in the general community and finding a mate becomes very difficult. It is often easier to settle for what’s available particularly as we age and find ourselves still alone. I put a lot of my beliefs on the back burner and occasionally when these discussions come up it can get a very bad response from my mate who was raised a Fundamentalist Christian by a Pastor and his wife. His beliefs will not change. So what to do if the relationship is otherwise fairly good and you feel loved and cared for. Should we go it alone? What if we can’t move out of our area due to family or other circumstances to start a whole new life ? Is it possible that your own Twin Soul is on a different level of spiritual consciousness that you are? This is a dilemma I confront daily. Break ups and reunions occur after arguments regularly. We can find some solace in social networking but I have found the dating websites to be lacking in any results within a 500 mile radius. I live in Kansas, the Conservative Bible belt. Even though I reside in a college town which is friendly and has a lot of ambient energies it is at least 30 years behind the times here. How do you find a mate in this circumstance?
Interesting Thoughts about Relationships. I honestly don’t know how many people are in relationships that are non romantic. More like friendship partners in owning a home, raising children preparing or enjoying retirement. There are those very fortunate few who are blessed with a non romantic relationship and they break thru to Astral Higher World Friendships. There extremely Powerful. So powerful that most people never come back to reality down here once they experience other world Love and Yes Romance.
Well said Kathleen! I always felt alone with this; even although none of us are truly alone. It’s super difficult being packed through and through with love for everyone and yet spending most of your time alone due to others not seeing, feeling with their hearts, or wanting anything to do with your love. I am very grateful for the internet, we tend to be spread out over the world and that makes life feel very painful because we want to share the love inside us so badly! I have yet to find a way past these feelings. What do we do when there’s nobody to truly share our hearts with?
