It’s Adolf Hitler’s Birthday and We are NOT Celebrating

20 April is Adolf Hitler’s birthday and we are not interested in celebrating his life.  It is, however, important to remember it, because:

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” ~George Santayana

April 20th is Adolf Hitler’s birthday.  It is interesting to note that the actor Charlie Chaplin was born only a couple days ahead of Adolf Hitler, and Chaplin once, in reference to Hitler, stated, “I know that soul.  He was in the same room before I came to earth.”  Imagine how this world would be different if the two souls had traded places.  The video below is from “The Great Dictator” and is the first movie Chaplin spoke in.

Some of Adolf Hitler’s more outrageous quotes:

All great movements are popular movements. They are the volcanic eruptions of human passions and emotions, stirred into activity by the ruthless Goddess of Distress or by the torch of the spoken word cast into the midst of the people.

All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.

Any alliance whose purpose is not the intention to wage war is senseless and useless.

Anyone who sees and paints a sky green and fields blue ought to be sterilized.

By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.

Hate is more lasting than dislike.

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don’t think.

Humanitarianism is the expression of stupidity and cowardice.

It is not truth that matters, but victory.

The victor will never be asked if he told the truth.

Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually, they will believe it.

The day of individual happiness has passed.

Universal education is the most corroding and disintegrating poison that liberalism has ever invented for its own destruction.

Perhaps it is appropriate to spend a moment on Adolf Hitler’s birthday and reflect on the devastation that hate can cause so that we can renew our resolve to never let another phenomenon of a Hitler repeat itself.
