Connecting Hearts: An Interview with Jill Crosby

Having no capital, I continued with my “day job” to fund my growing dating business. I quickly got promoted to Director and Sales Trainer with the dating company and they moved me to Florida, Virginia and Portland, Oregon to fix struggling offices and open new offices. After a number of years doing this while working my online dating business every day, before and after my day job, I was exhausted and started really feeling the “call” and guidance to do my business full time. I was a bit hesitant, because at the time, there wasn’t’ enough income from the business to make this transition. It had truly been a labor of love for many years. However, the spiritual guidance was strong, and I was getting more and more burnt out with my day job. So, I went for it! I quit my job, sold my home in Portland and had planned to move to the Big Island of Hawaii. However, I was guided to move to Mt Shasta, California instead (that’s another story with so many beautiful synchronicities). Once I put my full focus on my dating business, it took off! It was so cool! I have been in Mt Shasta for almost 3 years now and LOVE it. I have a balanced, happy life where I can devote my energies to my members and doing everything possible to help them meet their beloveds. I have a full time staff of programmers, a graphic artist and an incredible customer support team. The Conscious Dating Network continues to grow and thrive and the success stories keep rolling in, which is what really inspires and motivates me! I know that when two singles come together to become a couple, the energy of the two rises exponentially. We often hear great follow up stories about the incredible work they now do together as a couple and how much of a positive difference they are making in the world.

There are a lot of success stories posted on Ascending Hearts.  Do you have a favorite success story? Yes, I would have to say that my all time FAVORITE success story has to be my dad. About 3 years ago (after I quit my day job and sold my house in Portland) my mom passed from a long battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphona. Because I quit my day job, I was able to spend the last few months of her life being her primary care taker along with my sister, Jane. That was such an incredible experience…again, that’s another great story. Back to my Dad. After going through the mourning process he started dating on his own. He was 67 at the time and is a very handsome, wonderful, generous, conscious, fun man that everyone loves. So, he was a hot commodity in the singles world. He met some nice women, but none that he really connected with. One day I asked him, “Dad, why don’t you join my site? Your daughter owns a dating site, why don’t you take advantage of that?” A few days later he called to tell me that he joined. Well, the very next day, a beautiful 65 years young woman sent him a message, along with many others, but this one really caught his attention. They emailed back and forth for a short time and then started talking on the phone. He lived in San Diego and she lived in Ojai (about 3 hours away). After really connecting and talking for hours on the phone he made the trip to Ojai to meet her in person. As the saying goes, the rest is history, they have been together ever since! He sold his home in San Diego and moved to Ojai a year ago and they are so happy together. I just never would have imagined that my site would end up helping my dad. He was happily married to my mom who was cancer free when I launched it so many years ago! He’s very grateful for the site too, as you can imagine! How many couples do you think you have connected? Oh geez, hundreds that we know about. Unfortunately not everyone emails us their testimonial, however, the ones that do always have such beautiful, inspiring stories. What really impresses me is how some of them coach others on how to be successful. Our members are so nice and thoughtful that oftentimes in their testimonials they will give advice to other members! They are so happy and grateful that they want to help others to have the same happiness. Our members rock!
