CP & SP Who inspired you to pursue your career?

Kristen Dalton Growing up, I was very shy and was going to pursue a business career.  My mother always inspired me to excel and to be fearless in whatever I chose to do.  And also, to do it with a smile.  As a teenager living in Paris, I was asked to be the star of a commercial and found that I felt alive in front of the camera.  I wasn’t shy at all when I was given permission to be someone else.  It was just myself all alone, singing, dancing, being cheeky and having fun.  It won an award for “Best Commercial” in France.

Whenever I had doubt, my mother encouraged me in every way possible.  She taught me to have passion about doing whatever it is that brings you joy, hard work, professionalism, longevity, fortitude and gumption.  I don’t give up easily.  Whenever I’m discouraged, I call my mother.  She lifts me up and always has my back.  That is what inspires me to face the next challenge with confidence that I can do whatever it is that I set my mind to.

Kristen Dalton A few months ago, Ronnie Yeskel cast me in the film “The Perfect Family” produced by Jennifer Dubin and Cora Olson and directed by Anne Renton.  I play Jason Ritter’s love interest, and it stars Kathleen Turner.  It will be premiering 2011 Tribeca Film Festival.

I starred in and co-produced a Corrado/Shoner film titled “A Dangerous Place”, which is an “Enron meets Anthrax” thriller, filmed in New Jersey.  We are still perfecting the final edit.

I produced and acted in “The Last Day On Earth”, which is a wonderful script written by Ryan Finnerty and directed Uri Niv. It’s a “highschool bully meets alien invasion” film.  We are having an audience screening next week.
