Getting Information from a Pendulum
Here’s where the chakras are located:
- First Chakra – at the genitals
- Second Chakra – halfway between the 1st chakra and the waist
- Third Chakra- half way between the navel and sternum
- Fourth Chakra – in the center of the chest
- Fifth Chakra – in the center of the throat
- Sixth Chakra – between the eyebrows
- Seventh Chakra – at the top of the head
Don’t be discouraged when you first try using a pendulum if you find you can’t even figure out where the chakras really are. That’s the real benefit of practicing—it will help you locate someone’s chakras and begin to get a feel for your own energy and how it affects the pendulum and your subject. Finally, it’s best not to loan your pendulum to others, unless it’s simply for the purpose of testing your chakras.
Here’s what the movements mean:
- Clockwise movement over a chakra indicates openness and that the feelings governed by that chakra are well-balanced and full.
- Counter-clockwise would indicate possible blocked energy or negative experiences with the feelings related to that chakra.
- If there is no movement at all, that can indicate you are in the wrong place on the body or a possible blockage.
- An elliptical swing indicates a right/left side imbalance of energy flow in the body, perhaps overusing either the right/masculine side or the left/nurturing side. The more the movement is distorted, the more severe the psychological distortion is for the related chakra.
- An erratic swing could indicate that the person has recently changed his or her belief system or is going through a major spiritual upheaval, which can affect a chakra’s movement and make it behave erratically for a day or two.
Whether the circle is larger or smaller also tells us if a lot of energy or a restricted amount is flowing through that chakra. With more practice, you may be able to pick up qualities of the chakra, for example, love, joy, peace, clarity, or heaviness, or darkness, sadness, or depression.
Enjoy using your pendulum. There are, of course, other ways of accessing your inner guidance and getting information about the chakras, but they require developing your inner gifts and a belief in the accuracy of the information you are receiving. When you are starting to explore the realms beyond your five senses, the pendulum is both an excellent helper and a good teacher.
