Kimberly Gamble:” In the last 8 years we have been working exclusively on the movie “Thrive”, and the www.thrivemovement.com website. We are really excited, because the film is really a larger offering of the website, and what it represents. The website is full of recourses that are laid out for the system’s exploration, and it provides a really coherent picture of the problems we face, along with highly leveraged solutions in a way that really empowers each of us to apply our unique gifts on behalf of creating a world where everyone has a chance to thrive. It is the best offering from us, born out of our deep love, respect, and concern for what is going on. Our offering truly is to empower everyone, no matter your gifts or orientation.
Foster Gamble: Our website is www.thrivemovement.com. However, that is not because we’re looking to organize and run a movement. It’s that we’re looking to empower a self-creating movement, where people are accessing their own creativity. Self-organizing in their communities, and giving people the benefit of our life long quest to offer more effective guiding principles and tools to undo the mess others have gotten us into already. It has very much to do with individual freedom. The occupying movement that is going on in Washington and all over the world is perplexing to mainstream media. They don’t know what to do with it, because there is not a leader, or dogma. There are principles emerging that have to do with non-violence, self-creation, anti-authoritarian strategies that are very aligned with what will be represented in the movie and the website. If there are ways to self-structure our communities and how we do business, or how we deal with money in ways that there are very clear rules that protect individual human rights, but not rulers. There will not be small groups of people who have monopolies on making money, and military force. Those two things have been the cause not only of the vastest suffering in history, with over two hundred million state sponsored deaths in the twentieth century alone. It affords an entirely new era, where people can get together and be heard, and operate in a truly free market with security.”
Kimberly Gamble:” Because this is a global phenomenon, the movie will be coming out in English and nine other languages. We are all connected through the internet. It is the quickest way to reach people.”
Q: It takes a lot of courage and conviction to rise up and challenge the current ideas and states of authority and economy. Was there ever a time when you both were fearful of how all of this would be received? After all, you are pretty much challenging the world!
