In Honor of April Fools’ Day – The Great Spaghetti Harvest of ’57
April Fool’s Day, in one form or another, has been around since at least the Middle Ages. If you are like me, you tried desperately every year of your childhood to pull “just the right” April Fools’ prank over on your parents. Somehow, they always seemed one step ahead.
Perhaps it is because their generation had some of the best ever, such as this classic from the BBC about spaghetti farming. To the surprise of the BBC, they were swamped with letters requesting more information, particularly on how one could grow their own spaghetti. The BBC’s response: take an individual dried spaghetti noodle, stick it in a jar of marinara and good luck!
