September 11th – 11 Years Later

By Nadia Khalil Bradley

September 11, 2001 appeared to the world as a true devastation, yet it opened up the wounds of the world for all to see. It brought people together from every country so that we could see each other as human beings and not so far away from each other. It galvanized us and brought to us information about how our world has worked until now.

September 11th also began the turnaround of our souls. We started to ask ourselves what really mattered and made us take the time to answer ourselves.

September 11th left no stone unturned. It brought to us what seemed like a planned turn of events and it had us question our governments. Laws were passed that restricted all of us. From the standpoint of the political world, it was advantageous to implant fear, doubt and worry into us.

And yet, we are actually less fearful now and more willing to find a way to live lives of quality rather than quantity. September 11th reminded us to be true to our spirits and “live” even as we are told to put our dreams on hold. Instead of giving in to the fear and the doubt, we found a way to live our dreams. Our gifts are coming alive and we feel there is nothing to lose to try.

September 11th made us want to do everything better, from revamping our healthcare to being careful about what we eat. We found that we are very capable and we are consciously choosing not to live in the sorrow of what could happen and live in the possibilities of what can happen. September 11th brought forth our abilities once all our disabilities were brought out into the open.

There are no mistakes. For whatever reason this happened, for whoever may be behind it, it is a huge part of our evolution as people are learning to live in a world where people come first and nothing is even a close second. We are getting there. Thank you God for all that is not as it seems.

September 11th showed us the importance of not leaving even one soul behind and how we must all start with ourselves.
