Lisa Williams: Bridging the Gap to the World Beyond
Another way that Spirit communicates with us is through nature. We see birds, butterflies, dragonflies, humming birds, to name a few. Music and finding coins on the floor or in random places are also very common things.
There are many physical things that we see and recognize and wonder if it’s really them. The reality is that it’s not them, but Spirit is so close to us that they influence us to turn our head at a particular time so that we see something physical that has a special meaning.
Just like those times when a random memory pops in to our mind of a time that we shared with them, that is our loved one showing you that they are around us.
What is important is to ASK for the sign. Sit in a quiet space and visualize your loved one’s face and hold that thought for as long as you can . Just as your mind is going to wander, ask them to give you a symbol or a sign that is going to specifically relate to them and go with the first thing that comes to mind.
I have done this exercise with many people in my workshop, “Reaching Beyond”, and I will always remember asking one guy what his sign was. He said it was a blue butterfly. He was very specific about it. Then I asked people to pair up and move on to another exercise, and that they needed a journal. He hadn’t got one, so he asked the woman who he was working with for a piece of paper… and on that piece of paper were several blue butterflies. There was his sign!
So those signs can be something that is staring you in the face. The problem is that we make it more complex than it really is. So next time you feel someone standing behind you and no one is there, say hi. Next time you physically hear or see them, smile and greet them. Next time you dream of them, embrace them. All of these signs are proof that the Afterlife is real and that life continues on.
