The Relaxed Soul: Why Mystics Seek the Path of Detachment

By Dr Paul HaiderRelaxed-Soul

As we meditate we learn to let go, naming sensations, seeing what’s happening within but at the same time not having to act on any of it. And if this is all a dream of the dreamer then there is nothing to act on… and thus we must go inside to find the Kingdom of Heaven.

It’s all about cleaning house, sweeping away those things that are no longer needed and building wisdom as part of our inner most being. Knowledge from within gained by looking beyond what the senses bring us… allows us to see the bigger picture thus the trappings of maya from then on are not attractive.

Thus his aura is cleansed of all suffering and the world is seen anew. Even where there are piles of trash a great sage will see the beauty in a reflection in a puddle next to it. For the sage knows on the other side of the veil there is nothing but all pervasive LOVE that envelopes the soul in the womb of the Cosmos… thus he finds peace and spreads love with every step.

Most people plug into one another, needing something from them, wanting something from them, always trying to fill the void in their heart.

Yet the sage plugs into a loftier source of power, one that’s more powerful and inexhaustible than all the rest, so in the end he detaches… and reattaches in a new more powerful way.
