Top 5 Holiday Holistic Tips

The holidays are a joyous and magical time of the year, friends and family gather together and celebrate the fun filled and food filled festivities. The healing arts can complement this season.

I’m delighted to share with you my top 5 holiday Holistic and Healthy Tips

1. Black Pepper Essential Oil: I love the outdoors; skiing, making snowmen and snow angels, walking in nature etc. To keep me warm on days I plan spending outdoors, I add a couple of drops of black pepper essential oil to my body lotion. This warming lotion can also prevent you from getting sick since being cold can often lead to sickness.

2. Ginger: if you are concerned about overeating during this holiday season and possible weight gain, chew on ginger before meals. Ginger is an amazing remedy to combat overeating as well as emotional eating.

3. Chamomile: If you didn’t try chewing on the ginger before your meal, and you have in fact overeaten, leaving you with an upset tummy, simply make some chamomile tea. Dissolve 1 tbsp. of dried chamomile in a covered mug of hot water for 8 minutes.

4. Winter can be tough on our skin. Here is an organic, all natural nourishing facial mask that you can make at home:

Nourishing facial mask…blend dry and wet ingredients in separate bowls, then combine and blend thoroughly. Application: aApply to face, leave 10-15 minutes, and rinse with cool water.

60 ml organic, unscented, all natural cream

¼ tsp. sea buckthorn oil

¼ tsp. rosehip seed oil

¼ tsp. carrot tissue oil

¼ tsp. vitamin e 3 drops neroli E.O

3 drops orange bitter E.O

3 drops Cypress E.O

1 tbsp. green clay

½ tbsp. white clay

½ tbsp. Dead Sea mud

Add more cream if needed. (E.O=Essential oil)

5. Patchouli: The holidays truly are a magical time of the year. For some extra money try this exercise: Put dried patchouli into your wallet and visualize your wallet overflowing with money. The law of attraction, with a little magic, can make for some amazing outcomes.
