OMTimes: What are telltale signs our readers can look for in their own lives that could be a direct reflection that they are leaning too heavily on masculine energies and need to bring feminine power into their lives?

Women are playing so many roles now. We’re professionals, we’re wives, mothers, daughters, trusted friends, community leaders, and neighbors. It’s a lot to manage everyday. When women are living within their Feminine Power, they’re able to make different choices, which is incredibly important, but they also tend to experience their existing daily lives differently. Shifting into their Feminine Power can transform a sense of overwhelm into a deep appreciation of all that women have in their lives. That’s just one possibility, of course, but it happens quite often with women in our community.

When women are disconnected from their Feminine Power, however, life quickly takes on a heavy and overwhelming, even dark and depressing, quality. In this state, they often experience deep fatigue, and a high level of frustration, stress, and anxiety. So many women also feel a deep yearning for more intimacy, and a sense of being creatively unexpressed. And while they may have accomplished many things they’re proud of, they tend to discount what they’ve achieved because those accomplishments haven’t been fulfilling to them. For many women, being disconnected from their Feminine Power can also produce intense anger about the state of our world.

So, as you can see, being disconnected from our Feminine Power is often a very painful state of mind and way of being for women, and because we haven’t historically been taught to cultivate and honor our Feminine Power, women can become resigned to this pain and anxiety and stress, and begin believing that it’s just a part of life, even though it really doesn’t have to be.

OMTimes: On your site you post the following research results: Despite the amazing success and privilege we’ve gained over the past 50 years, numerous studies continue to reveal a startling truth: that women’s overall sense of happiness and well-being has actually been on a significant and steady decline since the early 1970s. What do you envision the workplace will look like in another 50 years if women successfully integrate Feminine Power into their lives?
