Spiritual Juiciness: How to Get It
By Cristina Smith
At the level of the body, our most common denominator, our lives can be reduced to finding the rhythm between inspirations and expirations. When you were born, we celebrated your first inspiration. When you expire, we will hang on the very last inspirations you share, be it in words or beaming heartfelt projections.
What happens between the first inspiration and the last expiration is the adventurous journey we call life. What rhythms will we choose? Will the songs shift over time? How will we inspire ourselves and our spheres of influence? What we will allow to expire, like a parking meter or a magazine subscription that we weren’t quite done with? And what will we gladly choose to let go of when we know the time is right in the course of the rhythm of life?
As we discover the rhythms of our lives and learn its dances, we have many choices. Sometimes we choose by not choosing and end up feeling out of control of our own circumstances. Other times we may make command decisions perhaps a bit too quickly and miss out on some of the flourishes and exquisite beauty that comes only to those who persevere.
When we find our individual rhythm, we find ourselves dancing seemingly almost effortlessly. We notice that others dancing their true dances can share the stage of this planet with us and not collide; as each person is a star with her own orbit that does not interfere with that of another star. Even though we may be working hard on our own dance, the cadence and pace moves us in such a way that our energy is enhanced. That energy generated from our authentic dances can lead us to a sense of heightened awareness and ecstasy. And grooving to those rhythms infuse us with a spiritual juiciness that is both nutritious and delicious which in turn boosts the vitality of our flowing life juice, our blood.
So how do we get there from here? First, remember to breathe in, to in-spire. Once we have received an inspiration, consider manifesting it in the world as an exhalation. Here’s how. Inspiration is fertilized with intention. That intention is the human version of the potency of birds and the bees to pollinate a flower to fruition. When you make it your goal to make your vision a reality, you have pollinated it with intention. After the intention has fertilized that vision, you then can use the momentum of that power of your intention. You can incorporate (bring into a body) your idea into your dance and infuse it with your spiritual juiciness as the latest rhythm.
One of the best ways to fertilize an inspiration is by writing it down. That begins the grounding process. Now that the inspiration knows the intention is there for it to manifest because it has a landing spot on the physical plane. Use that file or notebook for any inspiring ideas and images regarding it. Once the idea is written down and has a place to grow and call its own, it can start to take on a life of its own.
Soon we will find ourselves in a garden of growing inspirations. Like in any successful garden, we need to weed out what we decide we don’t want. We need to fire it up with our passion and water it with our emotional energy. We need to interact with it and send it our best intentions and love to nourish it. We need to appreciate each phase of the growth cycle from sprout to flower to fruit to decay to pruning to new shoots in the next cycle. Our authentic enthusiasm, appreciation and gratitude for the entire process are what fuel our spiritual juiciness.
As we develop a lifestyle of spiritual juiciness, we may come to delight in all of the flavors that are possible. Or we may choose to become the masters of one specific variety. Whatever we select, we can continually feel inspired as we dance our way to our present time planetary expiration.
