Mind/Body Weight Loss – Day 0

Stress Reduction

Stress impacts our health in many ways and it has a complex relationship with our weight.  As we explore our weight as a symptom of imbalance, we must challenge our perceptions, our coping abilities and integrate relaxation techniques into our daily lives.  Stress affects all dimensions of our wellness and greatly reduces the bodies ability to self regulate and disrupts our innate healing mechanisms.  Healing equals wholeness, if our weight is a matter of balance, stress reduction plays a key role.

Mind/Body Interactions

Your thought conditioning drives your behavior when moving unconsciously through your life. It is important to uncover the motivations that are underneath our behavior. As Deepak Chopra says, “Your belief creates your biology”. As you become more conscious of negative incessant self-talk, and replace it with more positive thoughts, you can use your mind as an ally instead of your enemy.   You will become more aware of how food makes you feel, and what nourishes you.  It is these connections that are vitally important in shifting your thinking about food, exercise and yourself.

Energetics and Considerations of Consciousness

We make energetic investments on a daily basis.  We not only divvy up our attention, we also decide where we are going to invest our energy. Having a balanced and clear energy field helps people to minimize cravings, it removes old energetic blocks and decreases stress. Also as people begin to appreciate our energetic connections to each other and our earth, we will demand a more sustainable, healthier food supply.
