30 Days of Self Healing – Day 13
Today, do some strength training, as it’s critically important to include weight training in a self-healing fitness program. First, muscular health provides total-body immunity for reasons scientists are just be- ginning to understand. Second, you lose muscle as you get older, so you have to work harder to build more. Also, building muscle speeds up your body’s metabolism, which means you burn more calories. Another benefit to building strength is increased body definition. Strength training tones your body and makes you look better in your clothes. If you’ve never lifted weights before, begin your program with a personal trainer to make sure that your body posture and positioning are correct. In addition, a qualified trainer will help you get better results and avoid injury. If you’re not comfortable with lifting weights or the added expense of consulting a personal trainer, try joining a body-sculpting class. These typically use rubber tubing and body resistance to build muscle.
