30 Days of Self Healing – Day 27
Turning your thoughts into action
“Our thoughts determine our behavior.”
Dr. Fabrizio Mancini
Our actions allow our thoughts to become our behavior. You can have the greatest thoughts in the world, but if you don’t put some action steps behind those thoughts, you limit yourself from ever be- coming anything or achieving anything.
Here’s one way to turn your thoughts into action:
Take a sheet of paper and draw a line down the middle. In the left column, write down your top three thoughts, the ideal things you want to attract—it could be related to your career, relationships, health, whatever you want.
In the right column, make a separate list of everything you do in a 24-hour period. Compare the two lists. Do your actions support your thoughts and desires? If not, then you need to change your actions.
The first time I did this exercise I found that I wasn’t putting enough of a priority on my number one desire: better health. For one thing, I wasn’t working out as much as I knew I needed to. So I looked at my day. I had such a full agenda that the only way I could fit in a workout on a consistent basis was to get up earlier in the morning. Now I prioritize physical fitness as part of my morning routine, every single day. While examining my list, I also realized that I wasn’t paying enough attention to my nutritional intake. I was skipping breakfast, eating a fairly healthy lunch, but having a not-so-nutritious dinner, often eaten too late at night.
