Let us begin by saying something a little controversial. You may choose to challenge me if you wish. Few of us have active awareness that we participate in something that has an extension or link to our shared past. It is also has an active relationship with our present and can be a precognitive eye into the future at times. In fact, we can be rather oblivious of the possibility and how we interact in it.
It seems that we can understand the idea of timelessness well enough as a concept. Yet what many of us fail to fathom is that we, each of us, are a part of a continuum of experience that is much larger than we are; larger than any age; larger than any era or procession around the sun. If we can grasp the idea that we have seen and unseen realms, it makes sense that we have living and former experiences. All that energy has to go somewhere, right?
It is important to reflect and look back; however, it is about more than learning from our mistakes. We discover that looking back and reflecting within gives us understanding and appreciation of “all” that has gone before this “now.” The good as well as the bad; the right as well as the wrong. We might not know what our future may bring, but we sure do know from whence we came; and how our Now is our Present…to make what will be.
