A Daily Look Within – Day 14
As we look at our more cosmic self, we open our reflection to things that we cannot or do not see: the spiritual or unseen dimensions that lie outside our physical vision. Despite the lack of ambient light in space, our internal reflection may tell us we are more connected to these unseen places than we originally thought. We have somehow, in some way, managed to find a reflective connection not only to things we can touch with our physical senses, but also those things beyond them. Where we might have once felt our selves unable to see, we know “something” is reflected back at us. Our spirit, as invisible and indescribable as it may be, does carry a measure by which we can judge our effectiveness.
We can tell ourselves that our physical world is a mirage or an illusion…and that more exists in the realms beyond this one; places where we have yet to fully explore or whose mysteries are outside of our current understanding. Perhaps with this method of reflection, we find our own fears are lessened. The things we think were once strange or forbidding are a little less so. We find a multitude of possibilities that reflect to us in this place that our senses tell us “nothing” exists.
We see things that were once solid structures becoming less firm. Organizations and institutions that were once bulwarks of stability, progress, or control are reflected as being problematic and in need of reform. Strictures of time become timeless. We understand the big and the small picture, simultaneously. We see how things are intertwined in a larger, constructed tapestry of existence.
