“Hermes Sun Operation” – Light; Experiencing sun’s fire force; Light beings

In looking at basics, we can take a look at how a figure from ancient times chose to look at the fire he knew best, the Sun. Even if you are not a student of alchemy or hermetic transformation, we may glean some appreciation of the natural cycle from what Hermes provides in his writing, famously known as the “Emerald Tablet.”

What follows is the original text of an old Latin translation of the Emerald Tablet attributed to Hermes.Wikipedia does provide the original edition of the Latin text that goes back to 1541, along with a few famous interpretations. After the Latin is a contemporary translation (one of many). In October 2009, I tried to interpret the text. After additional reading, came more notes in March 2010. Most recently, in April 2011, there is yet more to consider, after really digesting and reinterpreting based on how it relates to us.  I hope you enjoy it:

Latin text

Sic habebis Gloriam totius mundi. Ideo fugiet a te omnis obscuritas. Haec est totius fortitudinis fortitudo fortis, quia vincet omnem rem subtilem, omnemque solidam penetrabit. Sic mundus creatus est. Hinc erunt adaptationes mirabiles, quarum modus est hic. Itaque vocatus sum Hermes Trismegistus, habens tres partes philosophiae totius mundi. Completum est quod dixi de operatione Solis. (footnote removed)
