A Daily Look Within Day 23

“Helping Others and Your Self” – Reflections; Forgiveness; Support

If you do not already know, I am a big fan of balance. Things can get extreme at times, and I find comfort and strength in walking the middle [path]. The middle path of balance is what works best for me, and I do not presume to think that you will have that same comfort level with being in the middle of things. One of the things I have learned on this journey is that helping others is a wonderful way to help my self. In a roundabout manner, the actions we do manage to cycle back around to meet up with us again at some point. It is fine to wait the process out, too. Whether those actions are good or bad does not seem to matter, and it is not up to me to judge. They can return.

Furthermore, once we are able to recognize how this input/output process works on the small level of “me,” it can be an expected truth on other levels as well. It makes sense, in line with the “as above, so below” train of thought. Let us share a few examples.

If we happen to have difficulty sleeping, we might expect problems to crop up in other areas of our life. We can get headaches or other body aches that make us feel sluggish or older than our age. We might get short or snippy with others and treat them horribly. Even our own internal talk with our self may grow weary to the point where we lose touch with what it feels like to be in tip-top energetic shape. This is a good example of what we “do not” do that can come back to affect our day.
