A Daily Look Within – Day 25
While that is one way of looking at it, it is not always the most inclusive view. The idea that there is a winner or loser comes from the ego’s struggle to hold on to a position–any position–in our life. If the ego does not feel “on top of the world” then it will settle for being at the bottom of the pile, as long as it can continue hanging around. This ego-based, either/or dual thinking is what places us in such opposing positions from each other and from that sense of balance that is our Source.
“Honoring Surrender”
This post is about being aware of the honor in the act of surrendering. Now, by surrender I do not mean giving up, as in not trying. The surrender I speak of comes after you have tried your best and still need to make a peaceful end.
There is a sense of right, and perhaps a sense of balance, that comes from being able to finally reach a conclusion after much frustration. When things get extremely tense, we are removed from the present moment by the very things that are occupying that space and time. They are so “in your face” that they seem to go beyond just being there.
If your mind is going to “places” or “events” other than the present moment, then our consciousness is usurped. We are removed from being present by the very thought of these other things. We have the power in us…we have the inner strength (and maybe the common sense) to say when “enough is enough.”
