Astrology Forecast for July 2013
Astrology Forecast for July 2013
by Kathy Biehl
We are all in the water but good. The summer’s defining aspect is in effect all month, the grand trine connecting Saturn (structure), Neptune (magic and grace) and a succession of bodies in home and security-loving Cancer. Like it or not, the water is reshaping and cutting canyons through our turf.
A surge comes when Saturn stations at the Cancer New Moon on July 8. (“Where is this heading?” replaces the general vibe to go with the flow.)
July 13-20 bring non-stop, major action that warrant a tsunami warning or two. The floodgates open and the pace speeds up as action figure Mars enters Cancer and ramps up nurturing impulses. (Self-pitying, too, but don’t you be doing that) and Jupiter brings his expansive properties to the grand trine. The water’s force takes on more focus and power, dreams acquire fuller physical form and fantasies crash on the rocks as Saturn and Neptune make another exact trine, as they did last month.
There’s no rest for the weary, though. Mars joins the grand trine as Mercury stations direct on July 20 (did I mention that Mercury’s retrograde?) — which will make for a disorienting hurry-up-and-wait atmosphere — or feeling for a few days like you’re in a whirlpool.
Throughout all this, Venus is in sun-loving, fun-loving, look-at-me Leo, inviting us to dress up, enjoy the drama and share it with people who appreciate our flair. As the waters hit critical mass, she shifts into the sensible, boundary-protecting Earth Mother mode of Virgo (on July 22), which encourages wringing out the sponges we have all become and restoring sobriety and order. A detached perspective is also the gift of the Aquarius Full Moon, also on the 22nd.
