Awaking Your Clair-Abilities – Day 21
The astral body is a subtle, energy body located between the intelligent soul and the physical body. It was Plato who conceptualized the term astral body and in his work he explains that it closely related to an astral plane and astrology.
Astral Body Experience
This can be done in a deep meditation or in a few minutes of quiet time in your day. It is meant to be a tool to be used consistently in your spiritual practice.
- While lying down or seated, close your eyes and become aware of your body.
- Take several deep belly breaths, inhaling only through your nose, pausing for a moment, and then exhaling slowly through your mouth.
- Feel the heaviness of your entire physical body. Feel the weight of your body submit downward, being engulfed by the chair or bed. Relax your body deeply yet gently downward.
- Come to your torso. Feel that same heaviness here now. Be present with the sensations and feelings of your torso.
- Repeat the exercise above with your arms, legs, and head. Let each body part slowly and effortlessly sink into the chair or bed.
- Notice that as you do this, each area of you physical body always present in your awareness. It is always near, continually moving, thriving and alive with activity. Even the deep cells of your body are aware of this aliveness. Consistently rejuvenating effortlessly.
- Focus on your head now. Find the distinction between the physical head and the mind producing thoughts…find the awareness of the feeling of the physical head and the separate mind. Do you feel your mind? Do you feel thinking taking place? How does it feel to think your thoughts? This is an effortless process. Let it happen…let the thoughts come and go. Take a few moments to consider all this. Tune into what it feels like to notice that thoughts just arise. Relax and notice your breath.
- Now, while your eyes are still closed, take your awareness outside of your body. Notice that your presence and attention can be inside the body and outside the body at the same time.
- Now, feel the presence just beyond your physical body and feel it as you. Feel your essence beyond your physical body. Imagine now this presence outside of the body as a form. It may take a shape of some kind or even a color. It may present as similar in shape to your own body, yet presenting in a luminous, opaque, pure white light or energy. Feel into this image as you. This is your astral body…it is your energy body. It is the deeper you that always was, is now, and always will be. It is within and outside of your physical body… with you at all times.
- Relax now, fully. Go yet a step deeper. As you focus on your astral body formulate a question to your astral body. The first question that comes is the right one for you. Listen now, for the response.
- Allow communication now with your astral body, as you honor it as an extension of you yet also an entity you can communicate with.
Your astral body is a facet of your higher self. It is that aspect of you that while here within this 3rd dimension extends to other dimensions as well. This astral body is eternal and continues from lifetime to lifetime and new body to new body. Your ability to allow the merging with your astral body to the extent that you can communicate with it and nurture the relationship will open a plethora of higher spiritual knowing and messages.
