C.S. Bromley – Running Down the Path to OM
Finally something clicked in me, and I realized I had prepared the last 10 yrs of my life for this with my schooling and constant personal research into the metaphysical and healing arts. I knew I believed all dis-ase was metaphorical, and I knew my body wanted to be healthy again. I had to #1 figure out the root cause or the lesson in ME (soul), #2, strengthen my body with natural remedies (body) and #3, strengthen my mind with affirmations (mind).
I’m happy to say I am in 100% health today, and I have changed a lot since then. I’m not “go go go go” all the time, nor do I feel I have anything to prove to anyone. I accept me as I am; I adopted an attitude of progress over perfection. Metaphorically, if I wouldn’t take the time to stop, and chill out and relax on my own, then the Universe was going to make me do it.
I wasn’t enjoying life before. Now I literally take time every day to smell the flowers. I take time to truly enjoy and be grateful for my body and the ability to move it with ease, and to have energy. Health is a gift. Life is a treasure, not to be taken for granted. I didn’t fully understand this until I was stuck in my bed every day for 5 months watching and listening to everyone else living theirs, wondering if I would ever go back to work, have kids, read a book for more than 5 minutes at a time, have a normal relationship, go for a walk, spend time with friends, etc.
