Feng Shui from the Inside, Out – Day 13
Feng Shui from the Inside, Out? Day 13

The Bedroom
Sleep Magic – the ‘assignments’ I’ve been feeding you at the end of each lesson – happens while you sleep, it happens inside the cellular consciousness of your body. Your body, of course, is inside something as well, presumably a living space of some sort. Because this place where you are sleeping is – especially now that you are doing Sleep Magic every night – very important to your physical well-being, it’s a good idea to take a critical look at that space.
One of the least followed tenets of excellent Feng Shui is a mirror-free bedroom, mirror-free for a very good reason: bedrooms are supposed to be places of peace and stillness; mirrors bring a vibration very much the opposite of that, amplifying light in the space throughout the day and turning the bedroom into a kind of battery, buzzing with energy when it should be a place of calm. Even a bedroom with a primarily northern exposure (and therefore less exposure to direct sunlight) loses some of its advantage when mirrors are present.
Direct exposure to a mirror while sleeping has been known to amplify disease processes in the body and in my own practice, in every case where I was called in because of terminal illness, the afflicted person had been sleeping directly across from a very large mirror, one that reflected the whole body. In retrospect, this had even been true in my own case in my pre-awareness-of-Feng-Shui days. It is most likely that in instances such as these the people in question were already seriously challenged in some way but mirrors amplify energy, that’s what they do, and if the energy is not good, then not-good energy what gets amplified.
