Feng Shui from the Inside, Out – Day 14
Feng Shui from the Inside, Out? Day 14

Finances 1
Directly across from the entry wall is the wall most immediately accessible both to sight and to awareness, the wall where, lined up neatly in a row, we find what seem to be the most demanding of the eight facets of the bagua map: Finances, Recognition, and Relationships. In all my years as a consultant, these three areas were of more concern to more people than any others despite the fact that other areas – Connection and Resources, particularly – would have been of far more use to them for until you master your Self, you are unlikely to do really well at anything else.
Finances are important, of course; we need money – or its equivalent – to live in today’s world, so money matters, it is not unimportant. Money is a form of energy; you exchange your ‘work’ to acquire it, expending your energy for whatever amount of money is deemed to be of equivalent value. Attention paid to one’s financial well-being is time well spent since there comes a time when your physical energy may be in decline and the vicissitudes of stock market are unreliable at best. Therefore, attention paid to the Finance area of the bagua is equally well-spent.
In order to best treat your own particular Sustenance/Finance area, you need to know who you really are because the trappings of good psychologically-based Feng Shui are dependent on your own subconscious for fuel. As an example, let’s say that while out shopping you came across a gee-gaw of some sort that advertised itself as something to place in your “wealth corner,” (a phrase you will never hear me use), presumably to bring you wealth. Unless that item took your breath away before you knew what it was for, it’s pretty much useless for anything of value.
