Feng Shui from the Inside, Out – Day 18
Feng Shui from the Inside, Out? Day 18

Relationship 1
The Relationship area of the bagua is the hands down winner in the Why Do You Want a Feng Shui Consultation? contest. Relationships are the most valuable currency in our lives. Relationships have shaped this world and they seem to bring more joy and more pain (sunshine and rain!) than any other part of life…love relationships, particularly.
The Relationship facet of the bagua map, in the area to the far right of the Entry Wall covers not only relationships but the nature of relationships, the nurturing, the support, and the enjoyment that they can bring. Remember, as with every other aspect of the bagua, the Relationship area is reflecting you, reflecting every member of a household so make sure to take that into account when decorating/activating the energy in the area. Setting the tone of the Relationship area in the den of a home where children are present requires that the relationship you are addressing/reflecting is that of the family unit. The personal, private relationship between partners is best addressed in the bedroom or other private spaces.

The Relationship area in children’s bedrooms can include the whole family. Those children younger than seven are still not completely individualized and very much identify with their mothers, fathers and sometimes siblings, even older children benefit from feeling as if they are an integral part of a whole. And once hormones kick in, it’s especially important to remind older children that they are still part of a family.
