Feng Shui from the Inside, Out – Day 23


Stress releases something called cortisol into the body. Cortisol breaks down the body. Cortisol ages the organs of the body. Anything you can do to simplify your life will reduce stress levels and since life comes with stressful challenges that you have no control over what-so-ever, taking control where you can, helps. Give peace a chance, try paying attention to exactly what you are doing. Live to be an elder.
Here’s a little assignment that will help you on your way to surrendering to your body’s wisdom:
As I am reading this, I allow myself to feel gratitude (for something, anything).
I notice how my body is feeling.
Now I picture myself asleep in bed tonight, knowing and understanding that you, my beloved body, will take over and put these words into action for me as I am sleeping, that I need to do nothing more than finish reading this.
I know that you know why we are here on Earth. I know that you know that I don’t know. So I give you permission to release whatever you may need to release, to the degree that you are comfortable in doing so, whatever you may need to let go of in order to allow me to be more comfortable with trusting that your knowing is enough.
You can fill the empty space created by expanding the pleasure I feel when I am lost in a good story.
In the morning I will take note of how I feel. Thank you for helping me to be all that I can be!
