Feng Shui from the Inside, Out – Day 25

This built-in unconsciousness in conjunction with the nature of the information is why the mind makes such a poor guide for transforming a life. The mind is part of a self-replicating cycle that was designed to serve you as a child and it is, therefore, an unreliable guide to handling upgrades to full adulthood. But there is a way out and it lies in the innocence of the cells of the body and in their inborn desire to survive. Sleep Magic assignments address exactly this. Sleep Magic assignments are you talking to the cells of your body, turning over to them ownership of themselves, allowing them to ‘grow up,’ to do what they need to do to leave behind them the kind of low vibrational emotionally based information that limits your possibilities.

What follows is a breakdown of an assignment so that you can learn its structure:

  1. 1.       As I am reading this, I allow myself to feel gratitude to you, my wonderful body, for everything you do for me every day, for breathing, circulating my blood and lymph, allowing the food I eat to nourish me, protecting me.

Every assignment starts with thanking your body for the work it does for you. This can be simple or as complicated as you like. The goal is to consciously acknowledge and connect with your body much as if it were another person with whom you wanted to be in a relationship. The goal is to lay down a foundation for mutual respect and trust.

  1. 2.       I notice how you are feeling and I give you permission to relax as we read this, allowing these words to deeply penetrate your consciousness.

This simply asserts that you are, right now, at this moment, paying attention to your body as you take the next step forward in your relationship, expressing your desire that your body be comfortable both because you care about this relationship and because the more relaxed your body is, the more deeply it can absorb the information you are feeding it.

  1. 3.       Now I picture myself asleep in bed tonight, knowing and understanding that you, my beloved body, will take over and put these words into action for me as I am sleeping, that I need to do nothing more than finish reading this.

I refer to this part of the assignment formula as ‘the snapshot.’ If you are a person who can visualize, do so because this too adds to the strength of your request, helping your body to ‘get’ what you are wanting from it. This is especially true if you are setting up your Sleep Magic assignment earlier in the day.

  1. 4.       I know that there is some chance that our mother’s endometrium may have rejected us at first. Even now, rejection doesn’t feel so good. If this happened, I give you permission, to the degree that you are comfortable in so doing, to release any feelings of fear or desperation that may have accompanied that period in our life.

This is the request itself; please notice that it is only suggesting that something might have occurred. You can’t know for sure things that happened even in the early years of your life. Suggesting leaves the door open for your body to follow through on the assignment if it is necessary or to simply drop it if it is not.

By expanding a feeling you have known at some time that is opposite in feel to the one that you are releasing, you allow the body to ‘catch on’ to the sort of state you desire.

  1. 6.       I honor you for helping me to feel safe and comfortable in the world.

Gratitude again! You can’t thank your body enough!
