Drumming Circles and Activity
Drumming circles often take place in public settings such as parks or at the beach, but can also be organized within a community and/or recreation center, sacred sites, via workshops, and metaphysical places of interest. Anything that can be banged on to make noise can be used as a drumming instrument. Such as cans, buckets, pipes. You need not possess or purchase a drum to join.
People gather to drum in drum circles with others from the surrounding community. The drum circle offers equality, and includes people of all ages. The main objective is to share rhythm and get in tune with each other and themselves. This forms a group consciousness.Drumming assists to entrain, and resonate. Group drumming builds a new and collective voice, that emerges from the group as they drum.
