Tip-off: What would happen if you relaxed your jaw? Are you afraid that you would express “unacceptable” emotions? Why are you cutting off feelings? Why can’t you express your feelings?
Shoulder: Shoulders carry the weight of the world. Responsibilities for spouse, children, bills and relatives. When the shoulders become tense and ridged it could represent that you are not expressing your needs, perhaps you are doing too much or are doing something you are in conflict about. Tension restricts energy flow, so the “doing” energy becomes blocked. The muscles connect to mental energy. You can manifest knotted and tight shoulders in relation to your thoughts. Emotional coldness might manifest as a frozen shoulder. You raise your shoulders in anxiety and fear. Hunched shoulders are developed over time and may represent carrying a burden for an extended period.
Grounding using essential oils- Lavender, chamomile, rosemary/thyme/sage
*Caution about using essential oils: Essential oils should not be used on babies and childrenunder 12 years old. During pregnancy their use is limited to only a few “safe” oils which anaroma therapist can recommend.
Throat Chakra Exercises – gargle with saltwater, singing, or screaming.
Yoga asana: dhanurasana (bow pose), simhasana 1 (lion pose), paschimottanasana (sitting forward bend)
Feeding Your Throat Chakra:
Liquids in general: water, fruit juices, herbal teas
Tart or tangy fruits: lemons, limes, grapefruit, kiwi
Other tree growing fruits: apples, pears, plums, peaches, apricots, etc.
