Healing & Recovery – Day 27
30 Days to Healing and Recovery Day 27 by Dana Jacoviello
7. Give up negative or unhealthy habit. Let’s face it, we all have vices. Some of our vices become major problems in our life until our lives spin out of control. Essentially, they become unmanageable. I am challenging you to take action. Become your greatest advocate. We want to live a healthy lifestyle in every aspect: mentally, emotionally, and physically. If you are unhealthy, you can’t possibly function the way you should be. Starting today take that step. I am not saying you have to go cold turkey. Not everybody can do that, and many times we just fall back into it. That being said, you can try if you feel it is enough of problem to do so. What you give up does not have to be an act or an actual activity. It can be things like being closed-minded. I brought this up because in today’s society so many are not open to the unfamiliar. They let others dictate or stay set in their ways. In other words, we are stubborn. This limits understanding, acceptance, and compassion, which are crucial in our growth as an individual. You, without a doubt, want to have these qualities, but it all relates back to fear. We fear so much that is unknown because we don’t allow ourselves to learn. Don’t let anything negative, unhealthy, or draining become a fixture in your life.
