Inner World of Yoga – Day 15
- Growth Process: Use yoga practices to develop focus, learn about the universal principles that guide growth and transformation, and through this process build inner strength, intuition and fortitude. This requires us to engage in true listening with ourselves and with others.
Formula: desire + intent + teachings + practices = rise of inner knowing.
Common Pitfalls: Along with a desire to fit in but a lack of readiness or intent to delve deep into ourselves, there may be a tendency to adopt a certain look or attitude of growth, and mistake outward appearance, language and behavior for real growth or real change of consciousness. In reality, these are manifestations of Ego, not real change within. Remedy: Don’t get stuck in appearances. Always endeavor to align your thoughts and actions with what you know to be true for you at that moment. Real healing and transformation is always from the inside out. There is no “style” or “look” that indicates growth, transformation or higher consciousness.
- Growth Process: Attend workshops, meditations and retreats to immerse in supportive and safe environments where this process can be speeded up. Important considerations: Discriminate when choosing a program. Does it resonate with you intuitively? Seek answers to questions you may have beforehand by speaking with others who have attended programs with the facilitators and with the program directors.
- Growth Process: Get some outside help when staying with your process of growth has stalled or is becoming overwhelming. At times, working with therapists can help you focus and bring a breakthrough. Assistance may be required in the realm of your physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual levels.
- Body work or somatic therapies to help balance the energies of the physical body: Ayurveda, Acupuncture, holistic MD or ND, massage therapist, craniosacral therapy, nutritionist, Reiki, etc. Emergency or planned medical intervention if indicated or deemed necessary to save life
- Yoga Therapy sessions for body – asana
- Yoga Therapy: Individual sessions with a yoga therapist trained in life or spiritual counseling or coaching to help you focus and move through your obstacles to healing for issues including: healing the physical body, emotions, psychological patterns and habits, relationships, anxiety, fears, depression, childhood issues and more. Yoga therapy on this level can be invaluable and bring about more rapid transformation and healing.
