Today’s Practice: Nightly Review

  1. Make yourself comfortable, either sitting with long spine, or lying down on your back.
  2. Go into breath awareness, and when you are comfortable begin to look at the events of your day, beginning with the morning.
  3. Review your day and look for patterns of behavior in yourself.
  4. Do this often, and you will begin to know your patterns and habits. Once you recognize them after the fact, strengthening with pranayama and meditations will help you begin to see them as they begin to occur and with practice it will grow easier to make a choice as to how you want to use your energy.
  5. Do not be discouraged or berate yourself. Forgive yourself and have gratitude that you see it and know it can be changed.
