The battle between where we are with where we want to be, and the solution come down to the question of the functioning of human consciousness and human consciousness is not just the mind and is not just the brain.

Yoga maintains we are born with everything we need to grow and be fulfilled in this life. The challenge is to access our intrinsic gifts and abilities, and grow them on a spiritual path. In Yoga, spiritual growth can take any form, and Yoga accepts all paths as valid as long as the path is rooted in universal truths. This growth builds higher functioning of our Human Consciousness, awareness sharpens and growth, success, wellbeing, fulfillment and happiness rise as resistance falls away.

So, how do we arrive at the answers we seek?

“When you have a question, the answer is readily available to you in your inner knowing.  The key is to observe and see it from a higher perspective” – Sri Madhuji

Einstein echoes this in his statement about how problems cannot be solved from the same state of awareness or consciousness that produced them.

The tools of Yoga take us on a journey to be free of the mind thus relieving our stress, by understanding fully the intrinsic nature of the mind, accepting the mind in friendship and gratitude for its true function, seeing its patterns, understanding and working through the maze of our coping mechanisms, seeing our resistance, and arriving at acceptance of our condition. This acknowledgment, forgiveness, acceptance and gratitude bring us to the inner knowing we require to no longer be trapped in the machinations of the mind. We see clearly, we flow with life, and we live in a state of no conflict, that is, a state of continuous joy. This is a process that is essentially our process of our life itself. It is why we are here.
