Letting Go – Day 9
Alternatively, letting go can be a really subtle process. Just bringing to awareness a preconscious disposition or preoccupation that was handed down to you from an ancestor that you never knew, for example, might provide the impetus you require to leave it behind.
It can be a more or less imperceptible development. My role as healer might be simply to present something to the patient such that their own healing capabilities are triggered to run in the background, like when your subconscious mind works to heal you through your dreams (whether you’re conscious of it or not).
In the case of a psychic drawing, images are sometimes presented in a cartoony format. Sometimes our Divine help deems this the best way for someone to deal with things that they might otherwise see as disturbing or something they ought to be fearful of. Or depictions of certain elements might be represented in a way that appears somewhat cryptic. Again, it can be a means of helping to release or heal in a way that would dispel the possibility of unnecessary distress.
JG: Does the letting go always take place at the time?
BF: No, it doesn’t. That’s a good question. As I alluded to earlier, sometimes my role as healer is just to ‘activate’ the subject’s own process. This might happen through dreams that the subject has after our interaction.
One of the techniques I’ve been guided to use in the past is to provide patients with an image to apply as a temporary tattoo. It triggers their mind/body/spirit to release whatever needs to be let go of gently, as the image fades over time, as a sort of living meditation. Further to that thought, since our help from the Divine knows and sees All, it might be especially helpful/significant that something arises within the subject at such a time that it corresponds to or is supported by an event that Spirit knows will occur at a certain time after the connection between myself and the subject. In another aspect, our surrounding reality (or you could say, ‘the Earth’, as a conscious Being) might step in to provide stimulus that encourages our letting go.
