So, in the end it all goes back to eating whole foods. If you make it yourself, you know what is in it. There are so many good reasons why you should stay away from processed foods and this is just another to add to the list. There are many other additives/foods that I would recommend severely restricting or limiting all together.
1. MSG
2. Aspartame,
3. Other Artificial Sweeteners & Refined Sugar
4. High Fructose Corn Syrup
5. Trans Fats
6. Preservatives – BHT, BHA
7. Artificial Flavors and Colors
8. GMOs
Your Challenge:
Look through you cupboard and look for these ingredients. Pick five of the processed products and consider removing them from your grocery list and throwing them out. Either find a healthier option or make them yourself at home. Processed foods are so pervasive in our culture and they are making us fat. Consumption of processed foods leads to inflammation in the body and a whole host of health problems. Their addictive-like properties keep us coming back for more and because they lack nutrients our cells continue to starve, prompting us to keep eating.
