Mind/Body Weight Loss – Day 3
Week 1 Laying the Foundation
Day 3 – Taking Personal Inventory
It is important to identify your strengths and weakness. This isn’t an exercise in finding fault or promoting self-guilt, but it is important to be honest with yourself. We spend so much time and energy avoiding the shadow sides of ourselves without appreciating they can be our greatest teachers. When we know our strengths, we can use them to our advantage and when we embrace our weaknesses then they no longer control us. As we move forward with this challenge you will find that often we are feeding our weaknesses rather than our bodies. So day 3, let’s face them head on.
Your Challenge:
Answer honestly the following questions
1. List 5 or more of your strengths?
2. How can you use your strengths to aid you in this process? What role will they play in your success?
3. What are you weaknesses? These are qualities or behaviors (i.e. disorganization or shyness for example) that are inherent to you, not things like junk food or sweets.
4. Name some ways you can mitigate the impact of you weaknesses?
5. Do you know where your weaknesses stem from?
6. At this time can you make a connection between your perceived weaknesses and your choices around health? (If you can great, if not, we will be visiting this question again in different ways).
