Reclaim Your Powerful You! – Day 23
Creativity
by Veronica Lee
It’s amazing how many people don’t believe they are creative. Yet, in reality, it was our creative impulses that helped manifest our incarnated lives. Though many assume creativity is limited to engaging in tangible arts and crafts, they do not realize that our thoughts and feelings are creative forces as well.
Creative thinking allows us to see possibilities. Though we do not have to be the ones to solely implement new inspirations, there is power that is generated when creative ideas move into form. All of our incredible technologies began with a creative idea. Without even realizing it, you likely have thousands of creative thoughts each day.
Though we can all understand creative thinking, some may wonder, “How can an emotion be creative?” Like our inspired thoughts, our emotions are expressions of our receptive selves, unique as a work of art, although they may appear to be replications. Emotions well from our “caldron” of creative juices. Though outside influences may affect our emotions, in essence they come from within our creative core.
In our masculine-oriented world, the creative realm of thoughts is much easier to access for most of us than our feminine-based emotional expressions. Thus, many men and women struggle with their emotional body, experiencing discomfort or a sense of disconnection. Whether our emotions feel out of balance, repressed, blocked or non-existent, we can lovingly access them through creative activities.
By consciously working with our own creative power, we can learn to access and channel our emotions in positive ways, and bring form to our innovative ideas.
