Care Ideas for Each of Your Bodies

Physical Care
The Indulgent Pedicure: One way to indulge in simple self-care is to get a pedicure. You can choose to drop into the local nail salon and pay around $15, or make an appointment at your favorite day spa and spend over $50. Either way, pedicures are great for both women and men. Getting your toenails painted is not a requirement, merely an option.
The Art of Bathing: It may take a few extra minutes to fill your tub as opposed to a quick hop in the shower, but the end result – not to mention the journey itself – can be quite exquisite!
Use these ingredients for a luxurious bath:
1 cup salt – epsom salts, Himalayan bath salts or combo
10 drops essential oils – lavender, rose, or your favorite
water – the hotter, the better for weary bodies & souls
a lit candle (or two) – natural beeswax, preferably
music – your choice
Fill the tub to 3/4 its capacity with hot water, adding the salts and oil. Set your candle on the sink, put your music within hearing distance and indulge!
Emotional Care
Just Say “No”: Does the thought of telling people “No” make you cringe, or do you feel empowered? You don’t need to shout, “NO!”, emphasize a “Hell, no!”, or even imply that you would if you weren’t so darned busy with a large list of other noble things to do. You can simply say, “No” or add a courtesy, “No, thank you for asking.”When you really don’t want to do something, you know it. If you’ve created a pattern that either gets you in over your head by saying “Yes,” or you’ve learned to say “No,” but tend to justify it in some way, see what it feels like to empower yourself with a simple “No.”
