Nature and You: Sometimes it can be hard to take the time to connect with Nature. Nature, however, is virtually everywhere. Take time to breathe in the natural air. Allow water to flow; take long, nurturing baths with sea salts and essential oils. Caress your animal companions with reverence and gratitude for offering you their bridge to the natural world. Take a walk, drink in the sunrise, dig your gloveless hands in the dirt, and really smell those roses! Nature is our reminder that we are whole, perfect and in alignment with a grander order.
A Simple Chakras Meditation: Too busy to meditate? Simply stay in bed and imagine each of your seven major chakras. Feel free to add quiet music or light a candle. The idea is to keep it simple and short enough that you will do it. Take a few minutes to visualize each chakra with its corresponding color of the rainbow:
Root – Base of spine – Red
Sacral – Reproductive area – Orange
Solar Plexus – Naval area – Yellow
Heart – Heart area – Green
Throat – Throat / neck – Blue
Third Eye – Between eyebrows – Indigo
Crown – Top of head – Violet
Exercise: Select one self-care act to incorporate into your day to support each of your four bodies. You can use any of these suggestions or come up with your own ideas. Try to choose things that feel good and are doable.
