Recommit and Reconnect to Love – Day 6
Recommit and Reconnect to Love Day 6
There are a lot of problems and issues that can negatively affect your relationship, but there are also the minor irritations that can really just get under your skin. Not everyone does everything the same way. Some people may hang the toilet paper so it hangs over the roll but others so it so it rolls out underneath. But does it really mean it is the end of the world?
Today we would like to challenge you to make a conscious choice to keep your mouth shut about things that are really just not a big deal. Before addressing something that is really not news worthy, stop and ask yourself, “Is it going to make any difference if I bring this up?”
Stop sweating the small stuff. Is it really worth complaining to your partner that you don’t like the way they fold the towels? Does it really matter? You are just going get them all wet anyway. And then they are usually hanging over the curtain rod or towel rack anyway. They are not even folded, so who cares? Either re-fold the towels yourself or leave it alone. Try not to focus on the little annoying things that you think drive you batty. It is just your perception anyway. Ignore what really does not matter. Focus instead on the things your partner does well and tell them you appreciate it.
