Rosanna Arquette – Up Close and Personal
On Her Work: “I’m excited for the future possibilities for my work as the wiser woman. It’s a rediscovery for me as I am changing and I am proud to play those roles. I just worked with Actress Ellen Barkin, whom I adore; she’s an amazing woman in this industry. It’s a journey and transition for me no matter what role I am playing today. I also look forward to more directing as well.”
When asked about what she felt was important to her as a woman living in a world that’s ever changing and if she felt that woman are more empowered, she explained that, “I think women are really becoming more and more powerful in the business world to work, raise a family and still be there for your man. It’s a great challenge! I am happy to be in a tribe of great strong beautiful women.”
On Her Partner: “He’s a business person into financial work and the stock markets. It’s a language I don’t really understand, but I can comprehend its usage and that what he does also keeps the economy going, so we need that.”
To keep their relationship going strong, Rosanna developed a mandatory “date night” so that they can sit with one another doing nothing but talk about each other’s thoughts. No kids, no work, just themselves in their true moments for conversation. She says “It works and I’m working on creating more of that into our routine as a family because it’s so important not to disconnect or lose yourself because you have children or you’re working”. She’s thinking about “filming this as a documentary to help couples not to begin to resent one another, because then it all falls apart”, she says. “He also is very giving for some of the Jewish foundations for the Holocaust survivors and families and works to bring awareness as well there.”
